Chanel Returns to NYC for the 18th Annual Tribeca Artists Dinner
Chanel celebrated the return of the hottest, most star-studded event of the Tribeca Festival Monday, June 9: Its 18th annual Tribeca Artists Dinner at The Odeon in New York City. The evening celebrates visual artists who have contributed original artwork to films at the festival, highlighting the intersection of creative fields — the fine arts and filmmaking — and the city’s innovation in cultural practices and happenings.
“We’re all working together and these are our collaborators, so it’s always great to support other filmmakers,” Sofia Coppola said on the red carpet. “These are all people that you get to know over the years. I have friends that are artists and, of course, as a visual medium, I think we respect each other. I’m always inspired by the work of visual artists and other mediums, and I always love meeting other creative people.”
“The consistency and the continuity of our partnership has been truly amazing,” said festival co-founder Jane Rosenthal of working with the fashion house. “I think there are very few corporate sponsors that stay with a partnership like ours for this long, and we value that and really honor and respect Chanel’s commitment to what we’ve been doing over the past 20 years.”
“Tribeca Festival started after 9/11,” she continued. “It was about resilience and commitment in the spirit of artists and the spirit of artistry to change hearts and minds that has continued over the years and is ever more valuable and important today as we look at our changing world.”
Many IndieWire darlings attended the dinner, including Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal, Sofia Coppola, Jon Hamm, Allison Janney, Celine Song & Justin Kuritzkes, Darren Aronofsky, Lucy Liu, Chase Sui Wonders, Cooper Hoffman, Grace Gummer, Havana Rose Liu, Jerry Seinfeld, Jason Blum, Lily Allen, Lily James, Kyle Maclachlan, Maude Apatow, Maisy Stella, Mariska Hargitay, Molly Gordon, Role Model, Tommy Dorfman, Hailey Benton Gates, and many, many more.

The Artists Awards Program reflects a tradition of championing artistic vision and community. Tribeca’s ongoing impact on the community has inspired studio artists to engage directly with the Festival, supporting and celebrating fellow storytellers. Each year, the Artist Awards Program embodies the Festival’s spirit of solidarity, creativity, and generosity. This year’s contributing artists include Alteronce Gumby, Faith Wilding, Jane Dickson, Jeffrey Meris, Lauren Halsey, Marilyn Minter, Naudline Pierre, Raúl de Nieves, Simphiwe Ndzube, and Tuan Andrew Nguyen. Curator Zoe Lukov led the selection of artists and their work.
This year’s art collection will be displayed at the Tribeca Festival Hub at Spring Studios.
