OpenAI has launched ChatGPT Go a completely new subscription plan of ChatGPT for Indian users. This new plan launched by OpenAI is priced at just Rs 399, this comes as a relief for users in India who earlier had to pay for expensive plans in Dollars. The strategy behind the roll-out of this plan is to provide access to premium ChatGPT features to a diverse user base at affordable prices, says the company. OpenAI has confirmed that Go will not include connectors, legacy models, or Sora.
OpenAI also released its most advanced AI language model as of yet the ChatGPT-5, which brought it with several features and synchronisation of all OpenAI platforms into one place. “GPT5 is our strongest coding model to date. It shows particular improvements in complex frontend generation and debugging larger repositories. It can often create beautiful and responsive websites, apps, and games with an eye for aesthetic sensibility in just one prompt, intuitively and tastefully turning ideas into reality,” OpenAI noted in its blog introducing its latest AI system.
ChatGPT Go: Benefits of Plan
The new plan launched by OpenAI, priced at Rs. 399, brings along with it several benefits for ChatGPT and other OpenAI models users. The new subscription combines all the features provided to free users and along with that an extended access to ChatGPT-5. People who will buy this subscription plan will get higher message limits, more daily image generations, additional file uploads, and expanded use of advanced data analysis tools like Python. The plan also doubles the memory available compared to free accounts, allowing for longer context retention in conversations.
ChatGPT Go: Availability of Plan
ChatGPT Go is being introduced gradually across India. Users can check eligibility by logging into their ChatGPT account, selecting the profile icon, and navigating to “Upgrade Plan.” Once the plan becomes available, they can choose “Try Go” to subscribe. Subscribers will be able to use Go features across platforms, including the ChatGPT mobile apps and through 1-800-ChatGPT on WhatsApp. However, API usage remains outside this subscription and will be billed separately.
ChatGPT Go: Payment of Plan
The payment options for the new Go plan have now been extended to Credit Cards and UPI. This flexibility in payment options will allow a larger number of people to go for the plan. The subscriptions for these plans will be billed on a monthly and yearly basis, similar to other subscription plans. Users can also cancel their subscriptions at any point of time.
