Check Eligibility, Trial Period, and Monthly Cost

Telecom operator Bharti Airtel is expanding its entertainment portfolio by offering Apple Music access to selected prepaid users in India. To recall, this feature was still only available for reserved postpaid and broadband subscribers. However, the telecom operator is gradually rolling out its Apple Music access to its prepaid users as well.

The move comes soon after Airtel introduced free access to Perplexity AI Pro, showing how the company is positioning itself as more than just a connectivity provider.

Free Apple Music to Prepaid Users

Prepaid users are now witnessing and spotting an Apple Music banner inside the Airtel Thanks App. This is a complimentary trial of up to six months. After 6 months, the subscription will be priced at Rs 119 per month.

Airtel has not issued any official announcement, but prepaid users are able to verify access to Apple Music by logging into the Airtel Thanks App. Reports indicate that the offer is appearing even on select non-unlimited 5G plans, hinting that it may not be tied to a specific recharge pack.

Why Airtel is Providing Access to Apple Music to Prepaid Users

To recall, Airtel rolled out Apple Music and Apple TV+ benefits for its broadband and postpaid users. Extending this perk for prepaid users showcases Airtel’s broad strategy of merging connectivity with digital entertainment.

The telecom company has also curated recharge plans that combine data, unlimited calling, and access to over 25 OTT services, including Netflix, Disney+ Hotstar, SonyLIV, and Zee5. In addition, these bundled packs are offered in 16 languages.

With the addition of Apple Music, Airtel continues to strengthen its portfolio of value-added services. Whether it’s entertainment through OTT platforms or productivity with Perplexity AI Pro, Airtel is moving toward building an ecosystem that appeals to diverse digital needs. Prepaid customers should keep an eye on the Airtel Thanks app to see if they are eligible for the Apple Music offer.
