The engine produces a maximum output of 115 kilowatts and a peak torque of 220 Newton meters, while the electric motor delivers 150 kilowatts and 310 Newton meters of torque.
The model is equipped with a continuously variable super hybrid DHT transmission, engineered for smooth power delivery and high efficiency. With a peak mechanical efficiency of 98.5%, the system is designed to maximize energy use while minimizing losses. It supports four driving modes—Pure Electric, Series Hybrid, Parallel Hybrid, and Direct Engine Drive—allowing the vehicle to adapt to different road and traffic conditions.
These modes work together to balance performance, fuel economy, and battery usage for a more responsive and efficient driving experience. Additionally, Fulwin A8’s interior maintains a practical family-style layout with a dual-screen setup that supports enhanced digital interaction. Its infotainment system includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Huawei HiCar, allowing for straightforward smartphone integration.

The Fulwin A8 is part of Chery’s new energy vehicle lineup, which was launched in November 2023. As the flagship model of this series, the Fulwin A8 is positioned to compete directly with vehicles such as the BYD Qin PLUS DM-i, Geely Galaxy L6, and Changan Qiyuan A05, all of which offer similar size, powertrain options, and pricing.
Chery has reported impressive growth in recent years, with sales reaching $2.6 million vehicles in 2024—marking a 38% increase year-on-year. In the first three quarters of last year alone, the automaker’s global sales topped $1.54 million units, a 51.8% rise compared to the same period the previous year. This growth rate ranks highest among the world’s top 20 passenger car groups, according to the automaker.
Since 2003, the Chinese manufacturer has maintained its position as the leading exporter of Chinese-brand passenger cars for 22 consecutive years. Looking ahead, Chery plans to channel funds raised into vehicle research and development to broaden its product lineup.
The company aims to develop next-generation vehicles and cutting-edge technologies to bolster its core strengths, expand its presence in overseas markets, and push forward its globalization strategy. The financing will also be used to upgrade production facilities and support working capital needs.
