CII Hosting Business Forum & FICCI CEO Forum

New Delhi, Feb 11 (KNN) India and Israel are poised to strengthen their economic partnership through two significant events scheduled for today, in New Delhi, including the India-Israel Business Forum and the India-Israel CEO Forum.

These concurrent gatherings will convene business leaders, policymakers, and industry experts from both nations to explore economic cooperation and investment opportunities.

The India-Israel Business Forum, organized by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) and the Israeli Embassy in collaboration with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), will welcome a high-level Israeli delegation led by Economy and Industry Minister Nir M. Barkat.

The delegation comprises representatives from diverse sectors including technology, manufacturing, healthcare, agri-tech, defence, and water management.

The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) will simultaneously host the India-Israel CEO Forum, bringing together senior executives and policymakers for high-level discussions on investment opportunities and policy frameworks.

The agenda encompasses critical areas such as artificial intelligence, digital transformation, defence technology, cybersecurity, and clean energy initiatives.

Both nations have experienced consistent growth in bilateral trade, expanding beyond traditional sectors like diamonds and precious metals to include engineering goods, chemicals, electronics, and agricultural products.

Israeli companies have established a significant presence in India’s renewable energy, water technology, and defence sectors, while Indian firms have made substantial investments in Israel’s pharmaceutical, IT, and infrastructure industries.

These forums align with both countries’ strategic economic objectives, particularly as India progresses toward its vision of becoming a developed nation by 2047.

The events will facilitate business-to-business connections, promote foreign direct investment, and advance technology transfer partnerships, marking a significant step in the evolution of India-Israel economic relations.
