Cleveland Rotary Club hosts panel with Bradley County football coaches | Local Sports
Getting three head football coaches in the same room this time of year is quite the task. Getting all three Bradley County head high school football coaches in the same room is nearly a miracle.
It’s no secret, the county loves its football. So much, the Cleveland Rotary Club played host to all three for a panel for a third straight year.
Bradley Central’s Damon Floyd, Cleveland’s Chris Brown, and Walker Valley’s Drew Akins were in attendance to answer questions and chat about the 2025 season.
Camp just started this week for high schools in Tennessee. All three agreed it’s pretty early to tell how their teams will shake out this season, but all three also agreed they’re excited to see what they have.
Topics ranged from NIL to transfers to having all three scout the other two teams.
Cleveland and Walker Valley open the 2025 season against one another. The Blue Raiders will host the Mustangs on Thursday, August 21st for a 7 p.m. kick.
Bradley Central is also in a rivalry game week one. They’ll play host to McMinn County for the state’s second-longest running rivalry in a 7 p.m. kick on Friday, August 22nd.
