Coins.ph, the Philippines’ leading digital finance platform and premier cryptocurrency exchange, said it appointed global marketing director Amira Alawi to spearhead the company’s international growth and brand globalization.

Alawi will be central to launching Coins.xyz, the company’s new global platform, which will offer cross-border payments, decentralized finance (DeFi) access and Web3 onboarding tools tailored for emerging economies.
Her role will focus on unifying the brand strategy, managing partnerships, and driving user acquisition across all international markets.
Coins.ph, established in 2014, is licensed by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) as both a virtual asset marketplace and a mobile wallet. The company aims to export its decade-long success in inclusive finance—which includes crypto remittance services—to major Filipino diaspora hubs and high-growth digital economies.
“Coins.ph has earned the trust of millions across the Philippines—and now we have the opportunity to bring that trust and access to the world,” said Alawi.
“Our goal is to empower small businesses, creators, and everyday users to participate fully in the digital economy. This is about building pathways for financial inclusion at a global scale,” she said.
Alawi views the Asia Pacific (APAC) region as the foundation for the company’s global playbook, noting it is “proof that blockchain can go mainstream.”
