Connecting Cords music festival returns to Dr. TK Lawless Park August 22
CASS COUNTY, Mich. — The Connecting Cords music festival is set to return on August 22. The music festival is an annual fall music series with additional events and projects held throughout the year.
The event is organized by the Michigan Festival of Sacred Music, with a diverse array of artists, genres, and venues each year, celebrating local area musicians as well as unique artists from around the world.
Performing this year will be Aurora & Antheia, a trio that fosters the beauty of melodic and rhythmic sound. All three members of the group spent decades studying many different styles of music, including folk, jazz, classical, rock, Eastern European, Asian, Indian, African, and many more.
Park admission is $5 per car; attendees are encouraged to bring cash. Donations to the Michigan Festival of Sacred Music will be accepted.
The music program will start at 8:30 p.m. and the park will remain open until 2 a.m. for stargazing, weather permitting.
