Continuing Growth of Hot Trade Practice, Akin Hires Ex-Government Investigator in LA
Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld continues to expand its large international trade practice by hiring Gregory Dunlap, a former special agent in charge in the Office of Export Enforcement at the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Industry and Security.
Dunlap, who joined Akin’s international trade practice on May 20 as a senior regulatory adviser in Los Angeles, also served for more than eight years in the Department of Justice’s National Security Division, Counterintelligence and Export Control Section. In that role, he managed investigations and prosecutions on export controls and sanctions, espionage, cyber-espionage, unauthorized disclosures and foreign agent violations.
