New Delhi: Daewoo has returned to the Indian market, this time with its entry into the lubricant sector of the automotive world. Known for its engineering mastery, Daewoo Lubricants is now available in India through a strategic licensing collaboration with Mangali Industries Limited, a name that has been trusted by many in India for its manufacturing landscape.

Daewoo Lubricants made its formal debut in the Indian automotive industry by introducing its high-end line of high-performance lubricants. These are intended for a broad range of vehicles, including passenger cars, two-wheelers, commercial vehicles, and agricultural equipment as well.

For a long Daewoo has been known for its engineering excellence and innovation. Daewoo Lubricants’ introduction establishes a new standard in the Indian lubricant industry by providing premium quality that is suited to Indian driving conditions. During the unveiling of Daewoo Lubricants, Mr. Vineet Singh, Director Strategy & Growth, Daewoo, mentioned, “Daewoo has always stood for innovation, trust, and performance. In a market that is already competitive and has big names like IOCL and Gulf Oil in the portfolio, Daewoo has a big market share that it can cover. Pankaj Mittal, sales Country head, Daewoo Lubricant, feels there is a huge market that is still that is available for the brand. Mittal said, “We want to deliver a premium product at a moderate price. It is the technology that Daewoo Lubricant is delivering which sets our line of products apart.” 

Daewoo have launched their premium range of lubricants to cater for the different needs of the consumers and vast driving conditions. They are looking to launch their products pan-India, with metros being the first target before moving to second-tier cities. 

Mr. Sang-hwan Oh, DGM, POSCO Korea, expressed his excitement about the launch and highlighted Daewoo’s commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, making sure that each product satisfies exacting international standards while accommodating changing local market preferences.
