Del Mar Rose Society to hold annual BBQ and Movie Night – San Diego Union-Tribune

The Del Mar Rose Society (DMRS) invites the rose community to an evening of great food, film, and fellowship at its annual BBQ and Movie Night on Thursday, May 29, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Del Mar Powerhouse Community Center, located at 1658 Coast Blvd., Del Mar.

This festive gathering will feature a barbecue dinner from 6 p.m. to 7:15 p.m., with guests invited to contribute a dish. The evening continues with a screening of This Beautiful Fantastic, a heartwarming film, from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

In addition to food and film, Ellen Kiss, a DMRS member, will present details about the group’s upcoming involvement in the San Diego Fair. Attendees will have the opportunity to sign up for volunteer shifts for the DMRS event taking place at the fair on Thursday, June 26.

Adding to the evening’s excitement, a group of members recently returning from the Chelsea Flower Show in London will share stories and insights from their inspiring trip.

“This is a perfect chance to connect with neighbors, get involved in upcoming community events, and enjoy a fun night out,” said Kathy Cash, DMRS president, in a news release.
