Delhi Airport Launches Luxury Bus Service To Connect Noida, Greater Noida: India’s 1st – Trak.in
First-of-its-Kind Airport-City Coaches in India
Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport is set to become the first in India to introduce dedicated “airport-city” luxury bus services, connecting the airport with Noida and Greater Noida. Announced by Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), the initiative will roll out next week with fares fixed at ₹199 per trip.
Premium Travel Experience for Passengers
The new coaches, operated in collaboration with FlixBus, will provide passengers with a host of premium features including real-time tracking, trained crew, USB charging ports, CCTV surveillance, plush seating, and ample luggage space. Designed for both comfort and safety, the service aims to provide a stress-free and reliable commuting option.
Routes and Connectivity
Covering major stops such as Noida Sector 16, Botanical Garden, Golf Course Road, Gaur City, Jaypee Wishtown, and Pari Chowk, the buses will run round-the-clock. Depending on traffic, the travel time is expected to range from 130 to 180 minutes. Officials highlighted that this service will make IGI even more accessible for passengers in Noida and Greater Noida, boosting seamless connectivity.
Environmental and Global Alignment
Currently, around 20% of IGI Airport passengers use public transport. With this initiative, officials expect the share to rise significantly, reducing dependency on private vehicles and helping decongest Delhi roads. DIAL CEO Videh Kumar Jaipuriar stated that the move will help reduce carbon footprints while setting new benchmarks for passenger convenience. The launch also brings Delhi Airport closer to global hubs like Heathrow, Charles de Gaulle, and Schiphol, where similar airport-city bus systems are already in place.
Easy Ticketing Options
To ensure smooth bookings, tickets will be available through the FlixBus app as well as popular travel platforms like Redbus, MakeMyTrip, and Paytm. Offline ticket counters will also be set up at the arrival forecourts of Terminals 1 and 3, with designated boarding points at all terminals.
