Delhi sees a 225% increase in lifestyle and wearables category: Study – ET BrandEquity

Health has become a top-notch priority for people who invest in products and gadgets that help them achieve their overall fitness goals.

On World Health Day, Croma, the electronics retailer, releases a study that showcases how a growing number of people are adopting a healthy way of living and rapidly evolving lifestyles shifts across health and fitness.

Croma has seen growth and upward trends across products in the health and fitness category.

The brand witnessed a 254 per cent increase in the lifestyle and wearables category, a 200 per cent increase in air fryers, a 178 per cent increase in juicers and vegetable cleaners, and a 20 per cent increase in the air purifier category organisation.

Based on the transactional data, it has been observed that the maximum purchase of juicers and vegetable cleaners was in Ahmedabad, with sales increasing by 269 per cent.

In Bangalore, the category of juicers and vegetable cleaners increased by 226 per cent.

Similarly, in Chandigarh, more purchases were made in the lifestyle and wearables category, followed by juicers, vegetable cleaners, and air fryers. Chennai noted an increase of 454 per cent in the juicers and vegetable cleaners category.

Cities in the North, such as Delhi, Ghaziabad, and Gurugram, saw a massive increase in the lifestyle and wearables category, with increases of 225 per cent, 287 per cent, and 269 per cent, respectively.

In the south, cities like Hyderabad witnessed a 746 per cent sales growth in the air fryer category alone.

In the west, cities like Mumbai and Thane saw a surge of 216 per cent and 222 per cent in lifestyle and wearables, respectively.
