Delhi-Dehradun Expressway
New Delhi: Good news for the people of Delhi-NCR, the much-awaited Delhi-Dehradun Expressway is finally nearing completion. After the inauguration, the travel between the national capital and Uttarakhand will become smoother and faster than ever. It is important to note that the expressway is built at a cost of around Rs 12,000 crore and has six-lane greenfield expressway. It stretches nearly 210 kilometres, cutting through Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand.
Once operational, the expressway will not only save time but also improve road safety, boost tourism, and make regional travel far more convenient. The vehicles are likely to start running on the expressway after 30th November 2025, Zee News reported. The construction faced delays due to extended monsoon rains, but officials have confirmed that most sections — including the Delhi–Lakhnour stretch — are already complete.

Key routes and exit points
- The expressway begins from Akshardham Temple in Delhi and ends in Dehradun, passing through multiple cities and important access points along the way:
- Delhi: Akshardham, Geeta Colony, Sonia Vihar, Vijay Vihar
- Uttar Pradesh: Mandola, Loni, Usmanpur, Baghpat, Baraut, Shamli, Saharanpur
- Uttarakhand: Dehradun, with special link roads to Haridwar and Roorkee
