Demon Slayer Infinity Castle Anime Movie Gets Confirmed Crunchyroll Streaming

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba’s upcoming Infinity Castle film has gotten a confirmed home on Crunchyroll.

Per Deadline, Sony has confirmed that its subsidiary, the massive anime SVOD Crunchyroll, will be streaming Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle after the film’s theatrical release in the U.S. this coming fall: “The anime SVOD is enjoying success with the second season of Solo Leveling and will also stream the new Demon Slayer movie, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle, after its theatrical release.” The movie’s release on the big screen is scheduled for July 18, 2025, in Japan, with staggered international release dates beginning in August. The film will premiere in the U.S. and Canada on Sept. 12.

‘If They Want to Finish It, They Have to Watch It’: Crunchyroll Teases Production of Demon Slayer’s Final Arc

Demon Slayer fans will have to watch the entire upcoming anime movie trilogy if they want to finish the series, according to Crunchyroll’s president.

The confirmation comes after a Sony executive presentation confirmed the company’s plans to expand its anime content, stating, “Building on the success of Aniplex and Crunchyroll, Sony is advancing initiatives to expand its reach in anime and strengthen content development.” Sony already holds the international distribution rights to the Infinity Castle film’s release through Crunchyroll and is working in tandem through its subsidiary Aniplex, alongside Toho Animation, to release the film in Japan.

While it comes as no surprise that Infinity Castle will be released on one of Sony’s own streaming platforms, it nonetheless demonstrates a commitment to maintaining a stronghold on anime streaming in general, as well as further expansion into the industry. Sony also recently announced the launch of the new anime production company Hayate, a joint venture between Crunchyroll and Aniplex.

A release date for the first Infinity Castle movie’s addition to Crunchyroll’s streaming platform has not yet been confirmed.
