Donatella Versace knows turning 70 is a “big birthday,” so she went all-out to celebrate.
“What a way to celebrate my birthday — on Broadway with George Clooney in Good Night, and Good Luck. A tour de force! ,” the noted fashion designer wrote via Instagram on Friday, May 2, referring to Clooney’s Great White Way debut. “George, your talent, your courage and your passion are totally inspiring. Congratulations on your Tony nomination! I was on the edge of my seat. Bravo!!”
After watching Clooney’s performance, Versace went backstage to greet the 63-year-old actor. While Clooney opted for a classic tux, Versace popped in a lilac, floral dress with beige platform boots.
Seeing Good Night was just the start of Versace’s big birthday celebrations, which will continue on Monday, May 5, during the annual Met Gala.
