Dr Seán Murphy, one of Kerry football’s greatest ever half-backs, passes away at 93

Dr Seán Murphy, who passed away on Monday, will be remembered as one of the finest half-backs to ever play with Kerry.
Dr Seán Murphy, who won three All-Ireland SFC medals with Kerry – and was named on the Gaelic football teams of the century and the millennium – has passed away at the age of 93.
Murphy, who is regarded as one of Kerry’s greatest ever half-back, was an integral member of the Kerry team in a career that spanned from 1950, when he made his National League debut, through to 1962 when he played his last game for Kerry, a league win over Wexford.
