During the meeting, Afifi outlined the key steps taken by the Egyptian government to improve the investment climate and attract foreign capital.
He highlighted the availability of diverse investment opportunities across multiple sectors, supported by major national infrastructure projects and the establishment of specialized industrial zones, all contributing to facilitating both domestic and international trade.
The ambassador stressed the importance of building on the current growth in trade volume between the two countries and maintaining the momentum through regular visits by business delegations, joint trade and investment events, and consistent promotion of investment opportunities.
He also underscored the value of existing institutional frameworks such as the Joint Economic Committee and the Joint Business Council.
Zajíček affirmed the strong interest of Czech companies already operating in Egypt in expanding their presence and investments.
He also noted growing interest from new Czech businesses in entering the Egyptian market, citing the attractive incentives provided by the Egyptian government and the country’s strategic position as a gateway to Arab and African markets through its network of regional free trade agreements.
