Enter government export awards to boost your business

The government has called for businesses to enter its award scheme recognising exporting success, which previous winners say helped them to expand into new markets and boost their credibility.

The Made in the UK, Sold to the World awards, launched in 2021 by the Department for Business and Trade, has opened for small and medium-sized business entrants. Previous winners have included Little Moons, the frozen desserts firm, Scanning Pens, an assistive reading device, and Concrete Canvas, the company selling concrete-infused fabric.

Two new categories have been added — digital and technology, and export services — in addition to the existing ten categories including food and drink, education and edtech, and low-carbon energy. Winners will receive perks including a free business membership to the Chartered Institute
