Evansville Police Department’s Movie Night in the Park Series

For the second year, you can take the family to see several free movies at Evansville parks this summer with members of the police department.

There are several options in the Evansville area for families to get together and have some fun. Now, there are a few more things that you and your family can do this summer that are absolutely free. If you love movies, food, and a good time in a safe environment, you are going to want to attend the Movie Night in the Park Series.

Evansville’s Summer Movie Nights in the Parks

This is the second year for Summer Movie Nights in the Parks here in Evansville. The event is organized by the Evansville Police Department in partnership with the Department of Parks & Recreation. Summer Movie Nights in the Parks offers a free, family-friendly environment that is part of Mayor Stephanie Terry’s Safe Evansville initiative. The goal is to bring the community together for a fun and safe evening in our parks.

These events throughout the summer are a great way to enjoy a family-friendly movie, meet local first responders, and connect with neighbors in a relaxed outdoor setting. Plus, it’s free, and there are really not a whole lot of things to do out there that are free anymore.

Summer Movie Nights in the Parks 2025 Schedule

The first screening kicks off on Friday, May 30, at Bayard Park, featuring The Little Rascals. Throughout the summer, there will be other family-friendly movies shown at various parks throughout Evansville during the summer. Each event starts at dusk, and attendees are encouraged to bring chairs, refreshments, and snacks.

This will surely be a great time. You can take a look at the full schedule of Movie Night in the Park events, and make your plans to attend one of (or all) the dates below.
