Event on Investing in Human Development for a Climate Resilient Future was held within COP29-PHOTO

COP29 High Level Meeting on Investing in Human Development for a Climate Resilient Future is being held in Baku today, APA reports.

The UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan Mrs. Vladanka Andreeva, Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev, UNICEF Deputy Executive Director for Partnerships Mrs. Kitty van der Heijden and representatives of other international organizations are participating in the meeting.

Noting the urgent need to address the complex challenges posed by climate change and its impacts on human development, the importance of a multi-sectoral approach in addressing these challenges must be acknowledged.

The meeting reiterated the shared commitment to advance the Human Development agenda for Climate Resilience in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
