A major search has been launched for a mum-of-three who has gone missing after last being seen at petrol station in the early hours of Saturday morning. Rachel Booth, 38, bought wine and milk from the Sandiway Garage, in the Northwich area of Cheshire, on the A556, at 3.50am after a 45-minute run, a worker has claimed.

She is described as 5ft 9in tall, of a slim build, and with blonde hair and it is believed Rachel was wearing black leggings and a black top at the time she disappeared.

Police officers were spotted at the Wild Shore Delamere water sports park on Sunday, and were using sniffer dogs to help with the search.

Cops said as part of the investigation, agencies, including the Underwater Search Team and Cheshire Search and Rescue, are carrying out enquiries in the Oakmere and surrounding areas where it is believed Rachel travelled to.

Superintendent Hughes continued: “Investigators are following all lines of enquiry and anyone who has seen Rachel since she was reported missing is asked to contact us.

“The same goes for anyone who has any information on her whereabouts.”

The force closed the local holiday attraction as part of their investigation on Sunday.

Wild Shore Delamere, a water-based adventure hub, said: “Due to ongoing police investigations in the surrounding area, Wildshore Delamere will remain closed on Sunday.

“We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

“The incident is unrelated to Wild Shore – however, we wish to help as much as possible – so we will be closing the site until further notice.”

Cheshire Police have urged anyone who has seen Rachel, or knows where she is, to police on 101, quoting incident number 2136439.

Inspector James Wilson said: “We are currently conducting a number of enquiries to trace Rachel and we are becoming increasingly concerned for her welfare.

“Anyone who has seen Rachel since she was reported missing is asked to contact us. The same goes for anyone who has any information on her whereabouts.

“We would also like to appeal directly to Rachel to get in touch to let us know you are OK.”
