Experience Indian Culture at Delhi Airport with DEL Vibes Initiative, ETTravelWorld

Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), managed by GMR Aero, has introduced a first-of-its-kind initiative at any Indian airport—DEL Vibes, a cultural engagement platform that offers passengers a rich sensory experience through live Indian classical music, dance, and traditional craft demonstrations.

Launched on July 21, 2025, DEL Vibes is active across all terminals of Indira Gandhi International Airport and is aimed at transforming waiting time into a meaningful cultural journey. The initiative integrates three pillars—Music, Dance, and Curated Experiences—with daily programming between 10 AM and 6 PM, including live Kathak and Bharatanatyam performances, instrumental recitals with the Sitar, Santoor, and Sarangi, and hands-on craft sessions.

DIAL CEO Videh Kumar Jaipuriar said, “DEL Vibes is our way of giving every traveller a piece of India’s cultural richness even before they leave the airport. It reflects our vision not just to manage and operate India’s busiest transit hub, but to create memorable experiences for passengers.”

Beyond enhancing passenger experience, the programme also aims to ease anxiety for first-time flyers and build a more engaging, calming airport environment. Interactive workshops, artist-led sessions, and engaging emcee segments are part of the format, designed to involve passengers actively between performances.

Delhi Airport has long promoted India’s visual heritage through curated art installations such as the twelve mudra sculptures at Terminal 3, a 12-foot Surya Namaskar statue, and exhibits showcasing leading Indian contemporary artists. DEL Vibes builds on this foundation by bringing Indian performing arts to the forefront of the airport experience.
