Experts outline why China is irreplaceable in global supply chains

At the 15th CCG VIP luncheon hosted by Center for China and Globalization on July 24, global experts affirmed China”s indispensable role in global supply chains.

Ravi Agrawal, editor-in-chief of Foreign Policy, told China Daily Website that as the largest trading partner for a majority of countries in the world, China exerts significant influence over global markets and consumption patterns.

Hallam Henry, Barbadian ambassador to China, highlighted the nation’s structural advantages. He credited China’s commitment to strong education and investment in its people for creating “a robust and healthy environment for innovation”, which solidifies its “command over global supply chains”.

Wang Huiyao, founder and president of the center, emphasized China’s capacity for global collaboration, suggesting that “China can bring its industrial park clusters to other parts of the world and invest more to help local communities with employment”.
