‘Explore India first’: US visa officers deny Delhi man for zero travel outside his city, netizens react

Not this Delhi man, of course!Recently, an incident involving a US tourist visa has gone viral on social media where a US tourist visa incident sparking debate online. In a video, a man claimed that his friend’s visa application was rejected after he mentioned that he had never visited any place besides Delhi.Allegedly, the embassy officer advised him to “explore his own country first” before touring other countries. In the video travel vlogger Jay was seen talking with a man who mentioned that he has visited 29 states in India and Jay advised him to travel to other countries as well.Then, the man shared a story about his friend whose tourist visa was rejected after he said that he was born in Delhi and had never visited other places in the country. The embassy officer allegedly suggested that he should explore Indian first before applying for a US visa.The video has received 9K likes with people commenting with their own experiences with the embassy.”I agree with restricting immigration to those who show they have the skills required to fill the void. I don’t agree with the (see your country before you see mine) ideal. You’re restricting the overall position of progress in these countries.
