‘F1® The Movie’ Main Trailer Release Info
Summary
- Warner Bros. releases a new, emotionally-driven trailer for F1® The Movie
- The film features authentic racing footage and a soundtrack by Hans Zimmer
- Starring Brad Pitt, the film premieres internationally on June 25
After dropping the official trailer for the F1® The Movie last month, Warner Bros. continues to anticipate the film’s release with a new full-length trailer. The previous trailer focused on dramatic conflicts and intense action within the high-stakes world of Formula 1 racing. Meanwhile, the new promotional video is much more emotionally driven.
The trailer begins with a scene featuring Kate McKenna (portrayed by Kerry Condon), the team director of APX GP, engaging in what appears to be an interview with Sony Hayes (Brad Pitt), establishing the narrative surrounding Hayes’ return to F1 driving after a significant break and the associated stigma.
One of the standout elements of the trailer is its authenticity, with scenes filmed at actual Formula 1 races over the past two years. The production team maintained a close working relationship with seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton, who also serves as one of the film’s producers alongside Brad Pitt, Jerry Bruckheimer, Joseph Kosinski, Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner and Chad Oman.
The trailer featured breathtaking shots from Silverstone, Las Vegas, Abu Dhabi and Monza, blending real-world racing footage with cinematic storytelling. Pitt and his co-star Damson Idris, who plays Hayes’ young teammate Joshua Pearce, were even seen standing alongside real F1 drivers during pre-race ceremonies, further immersing the film in the sport’s reality.
The production of F1® The Movie involved a collaborative effort from a diverse range of creative professionals. The film is directed by Joseph Kosinski, who worked from a screenplay penned by Ehren Kruger, based on a story by Kosinski and Kruger. Daniel Lupi serves as the executive producer for the project. Notably, the film’s soundtrack is crafted by the acclaimed composer Hans Zimmer.
