FG, World Bank, States to implement land reforms soon- Dangiwa

The Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Ahmed Dangiwa, says that the federal government is collaborating with the World Bank and states to implement land reforms.

In a statement in Abuja, Dangiwa said the move is aimed at unlocking the potential of Nigeria’s landed assets through the National Land Titling Registration and Documentation Programme (NLTRDP).

According to him, the federal government will continue to collaborate with the States’ governments to address the challenges in the areas of registration, documentation, and titling of all lands.

Dangiwa explained that it is based on this that the ministry is scheduled to host a Workshop on August 12, to be hosted by Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, adding that they will partner with the State governments to tackle the challenges in terms of registration, documentation, and titling of lands.

“Recently, the Federal government suspended all land allocations and reclamation activities along the Lagos Lagoon shoreline, and a committee was set up by the Minister of Housing to ensure proper documentation, eliminate abuse, examine, and harmonise all approvals and developments.
