Registrations for MediaNama’s discussion “Navigating India’s Online Gaming Law” are about to close soon. In August this year, the Indian government notified the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Law, 2025. With this law in place, online real money games are no longer permitted in India. The event will examine the constitutionality of the gaming law, the legal challenges surrounding it, and explore the kind of support the gaming industry seeks from the government.
