Fresh Air Films To Be Held On April 12th

The Fresh Air Films drive-in returns to City Hall Car Park on April 12 with screenings of ‘Moana 2′ and ‘Wicked’.

A spokesperson said, “Buckle up for an unforgettable cinematic adventure as Fresh Air Films: Drive-in Edition returns to the City for one special night of movie magic under the stars!

“On Saturday, April 12, moviegoers can roll into City Hall Car Park for an action-packed double feature. The evening kicks off at 6 PM with Moana 2 [G], as the beloved wayfinder embarks on a brand-new adventure. Then at 8 PM, prepare to be whisked away to the land of Oz with Wicked [PG]—a journey that promises to be a spellbinding experience!

“Gates open at 5:00 PM, and early arrival is recommended for the best parking spots.

“To gain entry into the event, a please show a receipt from any City of Hamilton business for purchases of at least $25.00, made between March 1 and April 12, 2025. Movie goers wishing to watch both movies will have to exit the car park after the first movie and re-enter for the second movie with a second receipt valued at $25.00 to ensure a fair opportunity for all attendees and to prevent multiple viewings on a single purchase. This ensures that each entry supports local businesses as intended.

“There will be a draw for a gate prize just before the start of each movie. Moviegoers should write their name and number on the back of the receipt before they arrive to be entered into a draw for a gate prize.”

“We’re excited to kick off our annual event season with a fan-favorite tradition,” said Senior Events Coordinator Lorna Hayward. “This will be the City’s only drive-in movie this year and one of three Fresh Air Films events, so we urge anyone interested to make sure they don’t miss out on this one-of-a-kind big screen experience!

“The evening will feature two popular new movies as well as fun pre-movie games and delicious food and beverage items for sale from your favorite vendors. Attendees are also encouraged to patronize the City restaurants and bring their own take-out dinners to enjoy during the films. We are inviting movie lovers to come and enjoy the latest blockbuster hits – which were chosen by public vote – from the comfort and convenience of your vehicle.”
