Samsung has officially announced the rollout schedule for its Android 16-based One UI 8 update in India. The new software, which first debuted with the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 earlier this year, has already started expanding to more Galaxy models globally. In India, the Galaxy S25 series was the first to get it last week, while the Galaxy S25 FE comes with One UI 8 out of the box. One UI 8 Rollout in India
According to details shared on the Samsung Members app, the update will start rolling out in phases from October 2025. A wide range of Galaxy devices are on the list, spanning the Galaxy S, A, Z, F, and M series, as well as tablets. The October batch includes premium phones like the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy S24 FE, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Z Flip 6. Mid-range devices such as the Galaxy A35, Galaxy A55, and several Galaxy M and F series models will also be upgraded in the same phase. The November batch will include more affordable devices like the Galaxy A25 5G, Galaxy A53 5G, Galaxy F05, and Galaxy M05. The Galaxy Tab A9 series and the Galaxy Tab S10+ are also set to receive the update during this phase.
One UI 8: Eligible Galaxy Devices
Among smartphones, notable models confirmed for the October rollout are the Galaxy S21 FE 5G, Galaxy S22 series, Galaxy S23 series, and Galaxy A73 5G. Tablets like the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra, Tab S9 FE+, and Tab S10 Ultra are also on the list. Samsung has also included rugged devices like the Galaxy XCover7.
In total, dozens of Galaxy models are eligible, making this one of the most extensive One UI rollouts yet.
Important Notes for Users
Samsung has mentioned that the timeline could shift depending on any issues found during testing. If major bugs show up, the rollout might be paused until fixes are released. The company says it will share any changes through the Samsung Members app.
How to Download One UI 8 Update
If your device is on the eligible list, checking for the update is simple. Just go to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install. Samsung recommends updating over a reliable Wi-Fi connection and keeping the device charged during the installation.
