G-SHOCK 110 series gets a bold stainless steel upgrade in India.

New Delhi: G-SHOCK has announced a steel upgrade for its popular 110 series, introducing two new G-STEEL models, the GM-110BD-1A9 and GM-110D-8A – in India. Both watches feature a full stainless steel band and bezel, adding a metallic finish to the rugged line that’s known for durability and shock resistance.

The new watches are designed for users who prefer analog-digital functionality but want a more refined look without compromising on toughness. The launch adds to Casio’s expanding portfolio of G-STEEL watches tailored for everyday urban use and outdoor conditions alike.

Stainless steel frame, same G-SHOCK DNA

The GM-110BD-1A9 stands out with its all-black ion plating and gold-accented dial, while the GM-110D-8A keeps it classic with a silver-tone design. Both watches retain the original G-SHOCK features including 200-meter water resistance, shock and magnetic resistance, and a three-year battery life.

They also offer:

  • World time across 31 time zones
  • A 1/100-second stopwatch and countdown timer
  • Five daily alarms
  • Bright LED backlight
  • Analog and digital display support with 12/24-hour format

The GM-110BD-1A9 is priced at ₹26,995 and the GM-110D-8A at ₹21,995. Both are now available through G-SHOCK and Casio exclusive stores in India and online.

Aimed at urban buyers and outdoor users

This update appears to target users looking for a more premium finish while retaining G-SHOCK’s core ruggedness. While the core hardware and layout remain the same, the steel casing makes the watches suitable for more formal or professional settings without losing their original appeal for outdoor use.

The 110 series has long been known for its oversized, industrial design. These two models carry forward that identity while introducing a layer of polish. The steel finish does not impact durability, but it shifts the aesthetic closer to the G-STEEL category’s hybrid appeal – part performance watch, part statement accessory.
