Girls Soccer: Hilltoppers bounce back with 2-1 win over LILA
Duluth Marshall dropped a close game to Grand Rapids 1-0 on Thursday night but had a chance to get right back on the horse in their home opener against Lakes International Language Academy Friday afternoon.
Marshall entering the game at 1-2-1 on the year, LILA sitting winless at 0-3.
The Dragons would get on the board first, but the Hilltoppers would draw even at the end of the half with a Hanna Coulon goal.
In the second half, Marshall would get another one past the Dragons’ keeper from 7th grader Mia Pugliese.
That score would hold as the Hilltoppers come out on top 2-1.
Marshall’s next game is at home on September 6 at 12:00pm against Grand Rapids.
