Goldman Sachs Appoints M&A Duo in Asia
US banking giant Goldman Sachs has named a senior mergers and acquisitions duo for the Asia ex-Japan market.
Goldman Sachs has appointed Sushil Bathija as Asia ex-Japan head of mergers and acquisitions (M&A), according to a «Reuters» report citing an internal memo. He is currently head of Asia ex-Japan consumer retail group, chief operating officer (COO) of the M&A team in Asia ex-Japan and serves on the Asia ex-Japan investment banking operating committee and the Asia Pacific conduct committee.
In addition, the bank also named Vikram Chavali as Asia ex-Japan head of sponsors M&A. He is the current COO technology, media and telecommunications group in Asia ex-Japan and also serves on the APAC commitments committee.
Bathija and Chavali will continue to work closely with regional and global leadership while both reporting to APAC co-heads of M&A Raghav Maliah, Yoshihiko Yano and Ed Wittig.
