Sriram Balasubramanian hails from Nerul, Navi Mumbai. In 2016, Balasubramanian got fourth rank in the JEE (Mains) exam.

Read the inspirational story of a man, who scored All India Rank(AIR) 4 in the JEE Main examination. He even obtained AIR 92 in JEE Advanced. His name is Sriram Balasubramanian.
Sriram Balasubramanian hails from Nerul, Navi Mumbai. In 2016, Balasubramanian got fourth rank in the JEE (Mains) exam. According to the news report in News18 Hindi, he completed his Class 12 from PACE Junior Science College in Nerul.

In 2016, Balasubramanian enrolled himself at IIT Bombay where he pursued his Bachelor’s degree, Computer Science. He completed his bachelor’s thesis under the guidance of Professor Sunita Sarawagi. His passion and dedication are not only advancing him in the research field but also contributing to the effective implementation of AI and machine learning in practical applications. He graduated with 9.56 grade.
Currently, Sriram Balasubramaniam is a Ph.D. student at the University of Maryland, College Park. He is conducting research in the Department of Computer Science under the guidance of Professor Soheil Feizi. After completing bachelor’s degree, Sriram took admission at the University of Maryland in 2021 where he pursued a Master’s degree, Computer Science. He obtained 4.0 grade. “I am currently a PhD student in the Computer Science department in the University of Maryland, College Park, and interested in making machine learning reliable and transparent. Before that, I was a research fellow at Microsoft Research India working on machine learning applied to networking systems,” reads his LinkedIn bio. From 2018 to August 2022, Sriram worked as an intern at various places including IST Austria, Tower Research Capital, Gurugram. He previously worked as a research fellow at Microsoft, Mumbai, from 2020 to 2021 and at Comcast in Washington from May 2022 to August 2022.
“Hi, my name is Sriram. I am currently a PhD student advised by Prof. Soheil Feizi in the Computer Science department in the University of Maryland, College Park. I am currently interested in pushing the boundaries of machine learning and AI to make them more reliable and thus applicable over a wide variety of domains,” reads Sriram Balasubramanian’s GitHub page.
The post further reads, “Previously, I was a research fellow at Microsoft Research India and worked with Nagarajan Natarajan and Venkata Padmanabhan on building ML models for simulating network behaviours. I was also advised by Prof Sunita Sarawagi at IIT Bombay for my Bacehlor’s thesis which involved evaluating the performance of BERT derived representations when given text with uncommon named entities.” Currently, he is a Graduate Assistant at University of Maryland, US.
