Grand Inauguration of India’s First Integrated Wellness and Senior Care Festival, Wellfest India 2025
Combining Traditional Medicine and Senior Citizen Care, the Festival Aims to Revolutionize Holistic Health from August 2–5, 2025 held at the India Expo Centre and Mart, Greater Noida
Greater Noida: India witnessed a landmark event on Saturday with the grand inauguration of Wellfest India 2025, the country’s first integrated wellness and senior citizen care festival, held at the India Expo Centre and Mart. The four-day festival, running from August 2 to 5, brings together the 7th Ayuryog Expo and the inaugural Eldercare India Expo under one roof, creating a unique platform to promote India’s traditional health systems alongside innovative senior care solutions.
The event was formally inaugurated by Padma Dr. N.K. Pandey, Chairman of the Asian Group of Medical Institutes. Dignitaries present included Dr. Nitin Agarwal, Chairman of the Ayuryog Expo; Dr. Neeraj Khanna, Chairman of the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH); Avdhesh Agarwal, Chief Coordinator, EPCH; and Sachin Sinha, CFO of India Expo Mart Limited.
In his keynote address, Dr. N.K. Pandey emphasized the transformative potential of Wellfest India, saying, “This initiative is commendable for supporting the effective implementation of health schemes like Ayushman Bharat.
To bridge the existing gap between demand and supply in healthcare, we must integrate traditional medical systems—Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Unani, Naturopathy, and Yoga into mainstream healthcare. This festival embodies that vision, aiming to revolutionize health accessibility across India.” Dr. Nitin Agarwal highlighted the robust growth of the AYUSH sector, noting,
“The Ayuryog Expo showcases India’s rich wellness heritage, spanning Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Siddha, and Unani. The global Ayurveda market, valued at USD 14.4 billion in 2023, is projected to grow to nearly USD 77 billion by 2030. India’s herbal exports have surged by 20% annually from 2020 to 2023, reflecting worldwide demand for natural and preventive healthcare.” Dr. Neeraj Khanna pointed out the rising wellness economy and the need for governmental support to sustain platforms like Wellfest India, which connect traditional wisdom with modern healthcare demands.
Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Chairman of India Expo Mart Limited, remarked, “Wellfest India integrates preventive healthcare, traditional medicine, and senior care to create a holistic ecosystem that benefits all age groups.
Health is a universal right, and with aligned policies and innovation, India can emerge as the global wellness capital.” The Ayuryog Expo, now in its 7th edition, highlights India’s diverse natural healing traditions, including Sowa-Rigpa, Panchgavya therapies, herbal products, and wellness tourism. Simultaneously, the Eldercare India Expo focuses on India’s growing senior population, expected to reach 319 million by 2050. The expo covers senior living solutions, rehabilitation, assistive technologies, age-friendly infrastructure, physiotherapy, and financial planning tailored to elder needs. Wellfest India 2025 also offers knowledge sessions on Longevity & Biohacking, Cyber Safety for Seniors, Financial Fitness in Retirement, and Food as Medicine.
Interactive activities such as chair yoga for seniors and free health check-ups by the Asian Institute of Medical Sciences further promote wellness awareness and inclusion.
This pioneering festival brings together policymakers, healthcare professionals, caregivers, manufacturers, architects, financial advisors, and senior citizens, fostering collaboration towards a future where wellness is accessible, inclusive, and celebrated.
