A total of 34 horses will line up to battle to win the 177th staging of the Randox Grand National talking place at Aintree, and ITV Sport presenters have shared their picks of who they think will win

Today (April 5) is Britain’s biggest betting day, with the 177th staging of the Randox Grand National talking place at Aintree.
A total of 34 horses will line up to battle for the £1 million prize of which £500,000 will go to the first past the post of the world famous race.
Picking who will win the 4m2f race is an annual ritual in many households up and down the country. And to help pick that winning horse, ITV Sport presenters have shared their top tips for who they think will win.
The tips were shared on ITV Sport’s official TikTok account, as the first presenter, horse racing expert Luke Harvey recommended Beauport, saying he ‘liked his chances’. The ITV star added: “He’s had a really good season, and hopefully he’ll win the national!”
Analyst Kevin Blake was up next, as he shared his pick tin win was Minella Cocooner. “I think he has a perfect profile for the race,” he said. Adding: “He’s been training for it all season, shaped beautifully last time. Minella Cocooner, Willy Mullins, Johnny Burke, get the job done.”

Former jockey and pundit Adele Mulrennan also had her say, revealing that Hyland is her pick. She said: “I absolutely love him and I think it’s about time we had another grey horse win the Grand National. “
Mulrennan added: “I still think he’s on a workable mark, I thought he ran very well last time out in the Ladbrokes Chase, giving the win £22. I think he’ll stay the trip and he won’t mind the ground.”
Broadcaster Matt Chapman meanwhile said he thought last year’s Grand National winner I Am Maximus would triumph in the race again. He explained: “So impressive 12 months ago, I just think he can do it again, even though he’s been hopeless in all his runs since.”
For second place, Chapman picked Vanillier, saying he thought the horse ‘should have won the Cross Country and Cheltenham, while in third he named Minella Cocooner, saying the horse ‘loves good ground’. For fourth, he chose Minella Indo, who was third last year.
Oli Bell was last up, also selecting I Am Maximus and Minella Cocooner.
I Am Maximus is currently offering odds of 6/1, according to bet365, while Minella Cocooner is 12/1.
