New Delhi, Oct 22 (KNN) The 5th India–Australia Energy Dialogue in New Delhi focused on the global transition to net-zero emissions, energy efficiency, enabling technologies, green hydrogen, and the importance of secure, diversified, and resilient energy supply chains.

The Indian delegation provided updates on progress and future cooperation pathways under their respective Joint Working Groups.

The meeting was co-chaired by Manohar Lal, Minister for Power and Housing & Urban Affairs, Government of India, and Chris Bowen MP, Minister for Climate Change and Energy, Commonwealth Government of Australia.

Both Ministers reaffirmed that the India–Australia partnership plays a pivotal role in promoting robust, sustainable, and reliable energy systems across the Indo-Pacific region.

Recognising the strategic importance of green hydrogen, the two countries also committed to being reliable trading partners and ensuring resilient and diversified energy supply chains.

The dialogue builds on the India–Australia Renewable Energy Partnership, signed in 2024, which aims to develop self-reliant clean-energy supply chains, stimulate investment, and create employment opportunities in the renewable energy sector.
