Havas brings global consultancy Gate One to India – Brand Wagon News
French multinational advertising company Havas on Wednesday launched Gate One, its global business and digital transformation consultancy, in India. India marks the fourth market for Gate One, which is headquartered in London. It has a presence in the UK, Ireland and the US, and is in the process of establishing a foothold in France.
Tapping India’s consulting boom
Gate One will compete with large global consultancies such as KPMG, EY, Deloitte and Accenture. The agency’s specialisation lies in the design and delivery of business and digital transformation programmes. Speaking at the launch, Ben Tye, managing partner at Gate One, said, “This marks a significant milestone in our global growth journey to service the needs of clients in the region and across the globe.”
Mordor Intelligence pegs the India management consulting services market size at $8.31 billion in 2025, which is forecast to reach $15.25 billion by 2030, advancing at a 12.91% CAGR. Tye said that the agency’s role would be to widen Havas India’s repertoire of services by providing deep expertise in customer experience, marketing transformation, data, digital and AI strategy.
Gate One in India will be headed by its client director, Karan Ingle, who will be responsible for scaling up the India practice and forging client relationships. The agency’s India office would be based in Bengaluru.
Agility as key differentiator
Ingle observed that despite the presence of large global consultancies in the country, the Indian market is still not mature when it comes to the consulting business. “The differentiation for Gate One is that it is still a small organisation with around 300 people worldwide, compared with many of our large competitors. Our culture, which is centred around empathy, is another major differentiator and allows us to be agile, thereby driving actual business outcomes for our clients,” said Ingle.
The agency is working with a couple of pharma clients and a retail business in India already. Tye added that Gate One will be servicing around 12-15 global clients that have a significant presence in India.
