Woman gives birth to quadruplets in VIMSAR

A 21-year-old Kuni Suna of Banjipali village in Sonepur district gave birth to quadruplets at Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR), Burla on Tuesday. Out of 4, three newborns are female, one is male. All four of them were born through normal delivery.

“Birth of quadruplets is very rare. However, this is not a first in Odisha. All the newborns are stable and under observation at the SNCU. The mother is also stable,” Superintendent of VIMSAR, Lal Mohan Nayak told TOI.

Standalone PG institutes, non-teaching hospitals not entitled to conduct internship for FMGs: NMC

Issuing a clarification, the National Medical Commission (NMC) on Wednesday warned the Foreign Medical Graduates against enrolling for Compulsory Rotatory Medical Internship (CRMI) in the standalone PG institutes and non-teaching hospitals.

In this regard, the Undergraduate Medical Education Board (UGMEB) of the Apex medical commission has made it clear that the FMGs should complete their internship in medical colleges or institutes that are approved for providing CRMI to Indian Medical Graduates.

MCC AIQ NEET PG counselling 2022: 10,954 MD, MS, PG diploma seats up for grabs, maximum in MD general medicine

There are a total of 10,954 MD, MS and PG Diploma seats available for NEET PG Counselling candidates this year, the maximum being in the speciality of MD General Medicine with 1,146 seats.

The confirmation of this aggregate comes from the recently released seat matrix on the official website of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) indicating the number of MD, MS and PG Diploma seats being offered for NEET PG Counselling as per the categories available in medical institutes across the country.
