Former Indian cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin has announced his retirement from the Indian Premier League (IPL). He informed about this decision on X, formerly Twitter and wrote: “Special day and hence a special beginning. They say every ending will have a new start, my time as an IPL cricketer comes to a close today, but my time as an explorer of the game around various leagues begins today.”

Indian veteran off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin not only achieved fame on the cricket pitch but also constructed a strong financial portfolio in his years.

According to numbers quoted by NDTV Sports, Ashwin’s net worth is approximately about INR 117 crore. In the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25, Ashwin announced his retirement from international cricket but before that he used to earn from the BCCI Central contract – according to Economic Times, he recieived INR 15 Lakh per Test, 6 Lakh per ODI and 3 Lakh per T20I. But after announcing he retirement, he was then excluded from BCCI central contract. He was signed in IPL 2025 last year for INR 9.75 crore and now he has bid adieu.
