Here’s who’s listed on Texas Tech football’s Week 1 availability report

Sticking with its custom that began last year, the Texas Tech football team released its availability report for Saturday’s season opener against Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

The Big 12 Conference’s new rule states that league teams must release availability reports leading up to conference games. Texas Tech is also doing it for non-conference games, the first of which was released Wednesday night.

Texas Tech will be without a number of players in the Week 1 game against the Golden Lions inside Jones AT&T Stadium. This week’s availability report lists 11 players out for the game.

Two players are listed as out of the season. Running back Quinten Joyner suffered a season-ending knee injury in the team’s second scrimmage about two weeks ago, while freshman defensive lineman Dylan Singleton is a new addition to this designation.

Starting offensive lineman Will Jados joins four other players who are listed as questionable, and two — including starting cornerback Brice Pollock — are listed as probable.

Texas Tech is not including the affected area, such as a knee or leg, on its availability report. Rather, it is simply classifying players as out for the season or game designations of out, doubtful, questionable and probable, in accordance with Big 12 guidelines.
