Nigerian media personality Oseni Rufai has praised chef Hilda Baci for preparing the largest pot of Jollof rice in a record-breaking cooking event, describing it as a true reflection of the Nigerian spirit.

Writing on his X page on Saturday, Rufai defended the event against critics who argued that it distracts from issues like poverty and hunger.

“Hilda Baci is the true reflection of the great Nigerian spirit. For those saying her feat is a distraction from the poverty and hunger, I disagree, it’s a testament to the fact that Nigeria can break records. We can resume talking about the bad governance tomorrow but today, we celebrate Hilda Baci, today we celebrate Nigeria. We must hold our leaders accountable,” he stated.
