Hospitality major Hilton has announced plans to double its brand footprint over the next five years. As part of this strategy, they have announced the debut of their first LXR Hotels and Resorts property in India, slated to open in Bengaluru in 2026.

This announcement was made at the company’s Hospitality Brand Showcase, which featured 10 of Hilton’s 24 global brands. The company also stated that the new hotels put the company on track to triple its luxury estate in the years to come.

Chris Nassetta, president and CEO, Hilton, said, “India is a critical part of Hilton’s global growth strategy. As one of the world’s largest and most dynamic markets, it represents a major opportunity across brand segments – from luxury to premium economy.”

Alan Watts, president, Asia Pacific, Hilton, said, “With more than 1,000 hotels across Asia Pacific, and plans to grow to 10 times our current portfolio in India with our SLA partners, our commitment to this region is stronger than ever.”

In Bengaluru, the Den will join LXR Hotels and Resorts portfolio. Slohh by Roach as part of the Curio collection by Hilton will also debut this year as Hilton’s first lifestyle hotel in India.

In Jaipur, Hilton will introduce the first Signia by Hilton in 2028, marking the debut of one of its premier luxury brands in the country. The city will also welcome Conrad Hotels & Resorts and the ultra-luxury Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts by 2027.

DoubleTree by Hilton, the company’s full-service brand, remains Hilton’s largest in India, with 11 operating hotels and 12 more under development in cities such as Siliguri, Bhopal, Kochi, and Chandigarh.

Other than these expansions, in late 2024, Hilton entered a license agreement with Olive by Embassy to launch 150 Spark by Hilton hotels and Nile Hospitality for 75 Hampton by Hilton hotels which will debut across Gujarat, Rajasthan, Punjab, and Bihar. The first Spark by Hilton is set to open in 2025.
