The American Music Awards will air live from the Fontainebleau Las Vegas starting at 8 p.m. Eastern Monday, May 26, on CBS. Viewers can stream the event live on Paramount+ With Showtime, DirecTV or fuboTV.

Who Is Hosting the 2025 AMAs?

Singer-actress Jennifer Lopez will host the 2025 American Music Awards, marking her second time to helm the show and first since 2015. The “Jenny From the Block” singer is pulling double duty this year, as she will also take the stage to perform during the ceremony.

Lopez made her debut at the 1991 AMAs as a backup dancer for New Kids on the Block. The former American Idol judge, 55, told Billboard that watching the annual ceremony as a child helped inspire her dreams of becoming a performer.

“You can’t help but watch those [shows], being an artist or not even knowing you’re an artist yet, and just be pulled in by the performances and the incredible moments that you see, and people kind of being celebrated for what they do,” Lopez said.

Aside from host Jennifer Lopez, other artist performing at the 2025 American Music Awards include Gloria Estefan, Benson Boone, Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton, Lainey Wilson, and more.

Janet Jackson, this year’s Icon Award recipient, will also take the stage. Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Rod Stewart is among the performers as well.

Kendrick Lamar leads the 2025 AMAs with 10 nominations. Post Malone is close behind with eight nods, followed by Billie Eilish, Shaboozey, and Chappell Roan with seven apiece.
