HP unveils AI-powered Omen 16 gaming laptop in India with Nvidia’s RTX 5070 Ti, price starts from Rs 1,29,999

HP has just unveiled the AI-powered Omen 16 in India a this is a fresh addition to its gaming laptops lineup. The device comes with Intel Core Ultra or AMD Ryzen AI processors with up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti GPU, promising enough power to handle everything from modern AAA titles for gamers, to creative workloads for content creators.

“With AI at the core of the new OMEN 16, we’re offering intelligent performance, immersive personalization, and thermal breakthroughs that redefine gaming experiences,” said Vineet Gehani – Senior Director (Personal Systems), HP India.

He added, “Gamers require devices that can deliver top-tier performance while maintaining reliable cooling for uninterrupted play. At HP, we continue to push the boundaries of innovation to deliver devices that are purpose-built for the evolving needs of gamers.”

HP unveils Omen 16 gaming laptop in India: Top features

The Omen 16 comes with a 16-inch QHD display paired with a 240Hz refresh rate, 3ms response time and up to 500 nits of brightness. The screen also boasts a 100 percent sRGB coverage and Eyesafe certification to keep users comfortably immersed for longer hours.

And speaking of longer gaming sessions, there is the Unleashed Mode that adjusts CPU and GPU output in real time to keep gameplay smooth and responsive.

HP also says that the laptop can sustain up to 170W total processor power and 115W GPU support, giving players consistent frame rates even in resource-heavy games.

Talking about thermal management, HP has equipped the OMEN 16 with its Tempest Cooling system which uses larger fan gaps, a vapour chamber, and improved heat distribution to keep performance consistent. HP also claims that the OMEN 16 manages to keep noise levels around 46 dBA, even while maintaining consistent performance.

Coming to other features, there is an RGB backlit keyboard with customisable lighting zones, per-key colour options via OMEN Light Studio, and support for system tuning through the OMEN Gaming Hub. The device also includes an FHD webcam with noise reduction, a 6-cell 83Wh battery with HP Fast Charge that promises to reach 50% in 30 minutes, and Windows 11 integration.

Alongside performance, HP is also highlighting sustainability in the OMEN 16’s design. The device uses ocean-bound plastics in its speaker enclosures and bezels, and post-consumer recycled plastics in the keyboard components. It is also ENERGY STAR certified and EPEAT registered, in line with the company’s wider environmental goals.

The OMEN 16 gaming laptop is now available across HP’s online store, HP World outlets, Amazon, Croma, Reliance Digital, and other major retail channels.

The laptop is available in Shadow Black colour and its price starts from Rs 1,29,999.
