Hyundai CRETA became the Best-selling vehicle in India in March 2025 with 18,059 units sold, marking 1.2 million total sales and 20% YoY growth in FY 2024-2025.

New Delhi: Hyundai Motor India Ltd. has announced that the Hyundai CRETA became the best-selling vehicle in India in March 2025, with 18,059 units sold. The model also led the SUV segment in the country during Q4 of FY 2024-2025 (January-March), recording a cumulative sale of 52,898 units. For the entire FY 2024-2025, the CRETA ranked as the third-highest-selling passenger vehicle in India, with 1,94,871 units sold, reflecting a 20% year-on-year growth and marking its highest-ever annual sales.

Mr. Tarun Garg, Whole-Time Director and Chief Operating Officer at HMIL, commented on the vehicle’s performance, stating that the CRETA’s success reflects its strong connection with Indian customers. With over 1.2 million units on the road, the model has become a notable presence in the SUV segment. As a result of the CRETA’s performance, SUVs accounted for 68.5% of HMIL’s total sales in FY 2024-2025, up from 63.2% the previous year. Additionally, the launch of the CRETA Electric has expanded the brand’s appeal towards more sustainable mobility solutions.

The year 2025 also marks a decade since the Hyundai CRETA was first introduced in India in 2015. Over this period, it has garnered significant customer loyalty, with over 1.2 million vehicles sold. The CRETA’s continued popularity has cemented its place in the competitive SUV market, reflecting the shift in consumer preferences towards modern, feature-rich vehicles.
