With over two decades of experience in the automotive industry, Moolchandani will look after driving sales growth, fostering innovation, and leading large-scale teams across diverse markets.In his new role, Moolchandani will be responsible for strengthening Hyundai’s sales network and deepening customer engagement across India. Hyundai said his appointment underscores the company’s continued focus on enhancing operational performance and accelerating growth in an increasingly competitive Indian auto market.Before joining Hyundai, Moolchandani held leadership roles across major automotive and mobility brands. The announcement comes at a time when Hyundai Motor India is reshaping its leadership structure. The company recently named Tarun Garg as its next Managing Director and CEO, effective January 1, 2026, making him the first Indian to hold the top post since Hyundai’s entry into the country in 1996. Garg currently serves as the company’s Chief Operating Officer and Whole-Time Director, while the incumbent MD, Unsoo Kim, will move to a strategic role at Hyundai Motor Company, South Korea.
