Ian Griffin to play at Picket Twenty Community Centre

Welsh keyboard performer Ian Griffin will appear at Picket Twenty Community Centre on Friday, October 3, for a special evening of melodic, easy-listening music organised by the Picket Twenty Community Association.

Griffin, who began performing on BBC 1 as a child, has since enjoyed a long career in music, including time as a musical director and producer.

He formed the cabaret show band Casual Affair in 1990, which made several appearances on HTV’s Friday Live.

He later worked as musical director on the same programme, an early form of ITV’s X-Factor show.

In 1997, he became musical director and associate producer for Pontin’s ‘Keyboard Special’ events in Torquay.

Griffin has co-produced a number of keyboard festivals and has performed at several keyboard events in Holland, and has made recordings for various artistes appearing on ITV’s Stars in Their Eyes.

His concerts often feature audience-request segments, which have proved popular with fans.

The concert will begin at 8pm, with doors to the main hall opening at 7.45pm.

Tickets are priced at £10 and include interval refreshments, which can be purchased at the door on the night.

Enquiries can be made by calling 0808 1640909.
