IBM launches Agentic AI Innovation Center in Bengaluru
IBM inaugurated its Agentic AI innovation center at its Bengaluru office on Wednesday. This center will offer hands-on experience working with and building autonomous AI agents, fine-tuning small language models (SLMs), and auditing the entire process.
Agentic AI is a feature that builds on existing generative AI systems to allow them to operate autonomously and complete complex, multi-step tasks. The Center will help clients, partners, and startups fast-track the adoption of AI, foster co-innovation, and empower developers through hands-on learning and collaboration with IBM AI experts.
Clients, partners, and startups can explore AI agents on IBM’s platform and solutions. At the core of the Center and IBM’s agentic AI strategy is IBM watsonx Orchestrate, a solution that helps companies build, deploy, and manage their AI agents and their assistants.
“We are entering a new era of AI—one defined by intelligent agents that don’t just assist but act, adapt, and collaborate in real time. The IBM Agentic AI center brings this vision to life by urging local enterprises to evolve their AI strategy from reactive to proactive,” said Dinesh Nirmal, Senior Vice President, IBM Software.
Notably, IBM launched a GenAI Innovation Center in Kochi for enterprises, start-ups, and partners to build and innovate with generative AI in July 2024. Through the innovation center, the organisations get access to IBM experts and technologies to build, scale, and accelerate the adoption of enterprise-grade AI.
The center is part of the IBM India Software Lab in Kochi, with access to the latest in generative AI technology, large language models (LLMs), and case studies. It is leveraged to address societal and business challenges ranging from sustainability, public infrastructure, healthcare education, inclusion, and others.
