Ice-T and Coco Austin’s daughter, Chanel, had a sweet moment during a runway show when she helped a little girl conquer her fears.
The 9-year-old modeled during the Rookie in the City Fashion Show at Macy’s Herald Square Plaza in New York on Sept. 18.
Chanel first showed off her black Nike outfit with gray cardigan look, posing for the cameras when she got to the end of the runway.

In video shared by creator Mickey Blank on Instagram, as Chanel made her way up the runway, another little girl was getting ready for her turn.
However, the younger girl appeared to be nervous to walk in front of so many people. Chanel is then seen grabbing the little girl’s hand and encouraging her to walk down the runway.
As Chanel and the other model got to the end, the crowd cheered them on. Chanel then bent down and waved to the cameras, before made their way back up the runway.

Video of the moment is also briefly seen in Rookie Kids’ video recap of the event they posted on Instagram.
Chanel wasn’t the only famous kid to walk the runway. Ciara, Adrienne Bailon-Houghton, Dascha Polanco and NBA star Josh Hart’s kids also participated, among others.
As for Ice-T and Austin’s daughter, she isn’t afraid of the spotlight and has previously modeled in runway shows. She’s also acted and edited her own social media videos, which her parents shared online.
Last year, Ice-T spoke with TODAY about letting his daughter become an actor one day. At the time, he said he would “definitely” let Chanel be on “Law & Order: SVU” but under one condition.
“I would never let her be a victim,” the actor and rapper said. “I mean, no disrespect to any parents that have had their kids on our show, but it’s creepy to me… I would never cast my daughter in anything negative or weird.”
Ice-T, who is also father to two adult children from prior relationships, previously reflected on becoming a father later in life.
“Muhammad Ali said it best, ‘When a man has a child in the second half of his life, after 50, it resets his life,’” he said on V-103’s Big Tigger Morning Show in 2023. “It started my life over.”
He added that it helped him get back in shape and healthy, saying, “Now I’m back in the gym, I’m looking good, sharp, I’m strong. I’ve got to live. I can’t go nowhere. I’ve got to keep chasing these bags. I got a baby girl.”
